My Approach

I see a good therapist as a technician with multiple toolboxes, and they pull out the right ones at the right times.

I don’t like the way of describing myself as a “xxx therapist“. The labels do not tell you what I do, it is too easy, and therapy is not.

I use mainly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness when working with clients, but I also blend a variety of treatment techniques from other modalities, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and etc.

Additionally, I am a Trained Yoga Teacher (YTT-200), though it is not therapy per se, I have found some clients, especially the ones with somatic complaints, benefit from practicing unifying the mind, body and soul. I have also practiced Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) for a few years and working with young children and families really awarded me; however, that is not my primary service anymore. I still work with many parents and families that have special needs children; in which case, my focus is on bettering their mental health and supporting them as caregivers.

I am currently also pursuing my Perinatal Mental Health Certificate (PMHC) since I became a mother myself in 2023, so if you are expecting, reproductively challenged, experiencing loss or a new parent yourself, I am here for you.
