About Me
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a Master Degree from NYU. Prior to starting my private practice, I was the senior clinical supervisor at a community-based mental health clinic in New York City. I focus on working with individuals who struggle with a variety of mood disorders, life transitions and relationship issues. Additionally, I am a certified Perinatal Mental Health Counselor (PMH-C) which allows me to better serve those with perinatal concerns, including but not limited to: postpartum depression and anxiety, loss, transition to parenthood, reproductive challenges, etc.
Furthermore, I am also a field instructor contracted with several universities in NYC, such as NYU and Columbia, which means I am SIFI certified and qualified to provide trainings to their graduate students in the field of social work and mental health counseling. I have successfully trained and graduated more than a dozen of local and international graduate students, who have later on embarked on their own journey.
Prior to immigrating to the US and switching career, I was employed at a multi-national technology company in Beijing, China, working as an insignificant cog to a gigantic industrial machine as you may say. Heraclitus said it the best, “change is the only constant in life."
Moreover, being born and raised in China, having lived in Tanzania, the US and married into French culture have greatly shaped the way I view this world and gave me the privilege to see mental health from different cultural lenses.
